Precautions for stainless steel precision casting

Leave a message

1. We know that the shrinkage of stainless steel precision casting is greater than that of cast iron. In order to avoid defects such as shrinkage and porosity in castings, measures such as risers, cold iron, and subsidies are basically adopted in the casting process to achieve sequential solidification.
2. To avoid shrinkage, porosity, porosity, and crack defects in stainless steel castings, it is necessary to make the wall thickness uniform, avoid sharp corners and right angle structures, add sawdust to the molding sand for casting, add coke to the core, and use hollow cores and oil sand cores to improve the retreat and breathability of the sand mold or core.
3. Due to the poor fluidity of molten steel, in order to prevent cold insulation and insufficient pouring of cast steel parts, the wall thickness of cast steel parts cannot be less than 8 millimeters, and dry casting and hot casting are used. Increase the pouring temperature, generally between 1520 ℃ and 1600 ℃. Due to the high pouring temperature, the overheating of the molten steel is high, and the liquid state is maintained for a long time, which can improve the fluidity.
