Railway Investment Cast Machined Parts
Technical Specifications
Our Railway Investment Cast Machined Parts combine precision investment casting (CT8–CT9 tolerance grade per ISO 8062) with advanced CNC machining technology. This dual-process approach achieves machining tolerances of ±0.005mm on CNC turning centers and ±0.02mm on CNC milling machines, with surface roughness Ra 0.8–Ra 3.2 μm, critical properties for components operating in harsh railway environments.
Material & Heat Treatment:
- Alloy steel components: Quenching and tempering to hardness HRC 28–40 (core), with optional induction hardening to HRC 58–62 on wear surfaces for enhanced fatigue resistance
- Carbon steel parts: Normalization or quenching and tempering to HRC 25–35, achieving yield strength ≥550 MPa and impact toughness ≥27 J at -40°C
Dimensional Control:
- Casting blank tolerance: CT4–CT6
- CNC machining tolerance: ±0.005mm (turning), ±0.02mm (milling)
- Surface finish: Ra 0.8–Ra 3.2 μm, with optional polishing to Ra 0.4 μm for critical sealing surfaces

Surface Treatment:
- Shot blasting / sand blasting (SA 2.5 cleanliness grade)
- Electrophoretic coating (E-coating) for corrosion protection
- Zinc plating, chrome plating, or Dacromet coating per customer specification
- Primer painting and powder coating for outdoor exposure applications
We maintain complete in-house production capabilities spanning mold development (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CAXA), investment casting, precision machining, and post-processing. This vertically integrated manufacturing chain enables strict quality control at every stage, reduces lead times to 35–40 days for batch orders, and allows competitive pricing. Our experienced engineering team provides full OEM and ODM services, with all products passing professional testing including tensile testing, Charpy V-notch impact testing, and CMM dimensional verification.
Application Scope
These precision cast and machined components are widely deployed across locomotive traction systems, high-speed train bogies, urban subway brake assemblies, railway couplers (AAR Type E/F), and critical connecting mechanisms. Beyond primary railway equipment, our products serve auxiliary infrastructure including track maintenance machinery and signaling support hardware.
Our components have been successfully integrated into railway engineering projects across Europe, North America, Asia, and Africa, demonstrating proven performance in diverse climatic and operational conditions from -50°C arctic environments to tropical humidity.
Ordering Process
Our ordering process is fully transparent: technical drawing confirmation → DFM analysis → sample approval → mass production → 100% dimensional inspection → secure shipment. We accommodate multiple secure payment terms (T/T, L/C, D/P) to support various cooperation models and procurement requirements.
